Jeannette Villarreal-Cortez - the "J" in J&G Armadillo, co-owner, and licensed tax-preparer. She has her roots in Corpus Christi, Texas and has her hands in the community, graduating from Del Mar College with her associates in accounting. Other college accomplishments are BBA from University of Pan Am in Edinburgh and a Major in Business Administration/Accounting. In 1996, she decided to begin the business out of her small home office and has seen it grow since. After years of having her taxes done by chain corporations, Jeannette decided to go into tax preparation to prove that no matter how big the business, the customer shouldn't be treated as "just another social security number" but as family. The entire company has been started and based off that credo and is instilled in every member of her staff, including her daughters - who also do tax preparation - that the customer is the number one. Gracie Armadillo - the "G" in J&G Armadillo, co-owner and matriarch of the offices, and mother to Jeannette. She first planted the idea of excellent customer service in her daughter's ethical checklist, and helped water that ideal in support of its current growth with leading by example. Once the owner of a hardworking building cleaning company, Gracie dissolved the company in order to show her support to the city that she loves, Corpus Christi, by working for the City of Corpus Christi. She passed along her great business mind and excellent decision-making skills and has seen her family become very successful in the business. If you see her around the office (and you will), stop her and say "Hello GRACIE!"...
Leannette Villarreal, daughter to Jeannette, is recent graduate of Del Mar College with her associates in accounting. She works around the clock during tax season, as a licensed tax preparer, to make sure and deliver on "excellent customer service".
